This workshop will explore the next steps necessary for South Carolina to develop its offshore wind energy potential. This forum will allow for an exchange of experiences, with perspectives from other states, the private sector, the military, as well as some of our state’s regulatory and policy leaders. Please join the Regulatory Task Force for Coastal Clean Energy as we work to develop an action plan for South Carolina to maximize the potential of offshore wind for our state!
Onshore Implications of Ocean Energy Development

Please also join us on the following morning as DHEC’s Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management and the SC Ocean Planning Work Group facilitate this session about onshore implications of ocean energy development. The morning will open with a few presentations on onshore planning, infrastructure needs and grid issues, followed with a panel and audience discussion.
