On January 25-26, 2010, SECOORA, MACOORA, and NERACOOS hosted a Regional Water Quality Workshop, in concert with the IOOS office, USGS, EPA, and the National Water Quality Network. The purpose of the workshop was to explore integrated science-based solutions to address major water-quality issues and management. Key issues were dissolved oxygen depletion (hypoxia), harmful algal blooms and nutrient enrichment. Presentations can be found at http://acwi.gov/monitoring/network/. Notes, action items, presentations and an audio tape of day one can also be found on the MACOORA website.
