IOOS / SECOORA / FACT Network - Funding at Risk
The Fiscal Year 2026 President’s Budget proposes the complete elimination of funding for the U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) Regional Observations. This funding directly supports SECOORA and their partners and collaborators, including the FACT Network. Without the funding from SECOORA, the FACT Network would likely cease to exist. Take action and sign the IOOS letter of support today.

President Biden Proposes Significant Budget Cuts to IOOS for 2025
President Biden’s recent 2025 budget proposal slashed the funding allocated for the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) by 76%, which would effectively shut down coastal and ocean observing efforts and jeopardize FACT's ability to support researchers, including maintaining the data node. Take action and sign the IOOS letter of support today.
