Impact Areas

SECOORA Impact Partners can align their support with the outcomes and communities they care about most by supporting our Engagement Programs. Our Engagement Programs are where impact happens. These community-driven partnerships connect people, observations, and experts to support real-world decisions. Our programs focus on four key areas:

Disaster
Resilience

Helping communities prepare for and respond to extreme events.

Support the people, partnerships, and networks that help communities get ready for and respond to storms, flooding, and changing environmental conditions. This work brings together emergency managers, industry, experts, and local leaders to strengthen coordination, share knowledge, protect lives, and supports mentorship across the resilience community.

Innovative
Technologies

Delivering real-time information people rely on to make informed decisions.

Invest in the people and systems that collect and share real-time data. From coastal cameras to water level networks, this support ensures communities, businesses, and decision-makers have the timely information they need to sustain economies in coastal regions and stay safe.

Ocean
Health

Advancing understanding and conservation of ecosystems.

Strengthen collaborative efforts that connect scientists, partners, and communities to better understand environmental conditions. By bringing together data and expertise, this work informs decisions that conserve marine life and support the economies that depend on healthy ecosystems.

Workforce
Development

Building the next generation of professionals and solutions.

Create opportunities for students and early career professionals to learn, connect, and grow. This includes mentorship, hands-on experiences, and collaboration across sectors – helping people develop skills, drive innovation, and contribute to a strong and resilient economy.
