SC Sea Grant Consortium is looking for a Coastal Environmental Quality (CEQ) Program Specialist to be based in its administrative office in Charleston, South Carolina. The CEQ Program Specialist will (1) develop, coordinate, and implement a science-based and user-driven coastal environmental quality outreach program and (2) provide program leadership and management of the Consortium’s S.C. Stormwater Pond Research and Management Collaborative.
Major Responsibilities
The Coastal Environmental Quality (CEQ) Program Specialist will, in consultation with key stakeholders and constituencies, develop, implement, and manage the Consortium’s applied environmental quality research and outreach program which includes coastal hydrological processes, coastal geomorphological processes, and coastal ecosystem health. The CEQ Program Specialist will also facilitate the S.C. Stormwater Pond Research and Management Collaborative in partnership with Consortium member institutions and other colleagues and contributors. The CEQ Program Specialist will develop and contribute research motivated by community needs with Collaborative partners, and will provide hands-on technical support and training for targeted stakeholders. Incumbent will solicit funding as needed to support projects through the development and funding of grant proposals. The CEQ Program Specialist will be an employee of the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium. Work plans for this position will be based on and consistent with the strategic plans of the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium with guidance provided by the NOAA National Sea Grant College Program, the State of South Carolina, and target stakeholder and constituent groups.
