Eligibility
Nominees must:
- Represent SECOORA’s broad constituency
- Be a SECOORA Member in Good Standing (dues paid)
- Not serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) on an active SECOORA contract
Nomination Materials
Each nomination must include:
- Written confirmation that the individual agrees to serve if elected
- A two-page CV outlining relevant background and experience related to ocean observing systems
- A signed Conflict of Interest (COI) statement
Additional eligibility considerations and governance requirements are outlined in the SECOORA Board Election Procedural Framework (this also includes the current list of members eligible for nomination).
Submission Deadline
Nomination materials must be submitted by 5 PM ET on April 10, 2026 to Abbey Wakely, abbey@secoora.org, and copy to the Nomination Subcommittee, nominations@secoora.org.

Board election updates and announcements will be shared at ourAnnual Meeting (May 20 in North Carolina). Members are encouraged to attend to stay informed and engaged in SECOORA leadership and regional priorities.
